The story of RELEVANT began in 2016. Dr. René Kusch founded the company, which was originally based in Düsseldorf. With a government start-up grant of €13,000, the company began its journey from a small office on Königsallee with a clear vision: to create a space where collaboration is more than the sum of its parts, and to help people recognize their strengths and patterns and unlock their potential.
From the very beginning, as an official partner of Hogan Assessments, we supported corporations and consulting firms in national and international leadership and development programs. Together with two freelance consultants and one office administrator, the foundations were laid for what RELEVANT represents today.
Since then, much has changed. What started as a small team has grown into an organization with more than 25 employees. Today, we support clients throughout Germany and beyond. At the same time, we have developed a way of working that combines close client relationships, flexibility, and a family-friendly culture. Colleagues from Hamburg to Munich work together digitally, shaping RELEVANT every day through their commitment, expertise, and personality.
What has distinguished us most over the past ten years is our strong sense of unity. We consciously and systematically work against silo thinking. Behind every successful project are people who take responsibility, support one another, and work together to find the best solutions. Especially during times of change and uncertainty, we have seen how much can be achieved when we pull together as one team.
Over the past ten years, a clear vision has grown into a company that supports organizations of all sizes and across a wide range of industries. Today, corporations, medium-sized businesses, consulting firms, family offices, private equity firms, and many other organizations trust us with their strategic people decisions. We support people and organizations throughout every stage of the employee lifecycle—from the selection of candidates and onboarding to leadership development and team development. At the heart of our work is the evidence-based support of strategic people management. We create transparency around potential, personality, and collaboration, enabling our clients to make better hiring decisions, build more effective teams, and successfully manage transformation and organizational change.
